Todong To-Do List

I was supposed to make a proposal for SCB FIRST, but I thought of doing a blog entry rather. Don't blame me; I am so bombarded with works, and so I bombarded works to the officers whom I trust the most. Naks! HAHA.

Anyway, this Semestral Break is totally lame yet relaxing. First, you don't have to wake up early. In my case, instead of waking up at 4:45 AM on a regular basis, I wake up at 9 AM [during the early days of this break] or up to 11+ AM [which I consider late already, but it is still early compared to my classmates' - my regular 'chat mates' on Facebook]. That also happens every weekend.

Another good thing about this break is that, not much of home works were given, until I realized last Thursday that they were a lot! To be honest, I started moving last Thursday. For the rest of the break, all I did was to surf the internet. It came to me, on Thursday, that SCB hasn't accomplished something really influential, and it will all boil down to me since I am the President. [Don't get me wrong that I regret the position; it's just that everything that happens to the group will reflect my performance as their leader and "nurturer," I must say.] I actually did five things that I finished last Friday. I'm totally free today and tomorrow, to condition myself for the resumption of classes [and all-out discussions in all subjects since November won't be eventful as compared to the previous month/s]. Two long days...the feels.

Proposals
You might think of wedding proposals. HAHA! But nah, not that. I was responsible for making all the proposals that the group thought of. What does it contain? Well, the outline that was given to me should contain the purpose of the activity, the objectives of the activity, and the mechanics. I love thinking of the mechanics because I am a game show fan, to be honest. Before, I remember that I used to draw sets of different TV Shows. HAHA. [Will you call that a waste of paper? No, it's not for me since I learned to love something.] I love my job. <3 And I'm highly satisfied with the success of Jr. SCB's Facebook page - 43 likes. Thanks for making it active, Myra. And Athena, get the Twitter password from Myra, so you could also update there. [See, even here, I am bombarding them. Peace.] And I commend my team for thinking of the activities. You guys rock! [That doesn't sound professional though.]

Fahrenheit 451
I started reading two weeks ago, but I stopped since we still have lots of commitments for the UN Assembly. I continued reading last Monday and finished it last Friday. Weee, I like to read in books better than in PDFs. I hope everything that we will be reading will be available in the library [because Gaiman's Good Omens wasn't available in the library]. I am totally amazed on how fast Roda [but I don't know if she's done reading this] and Joel read novels. They always finish novels first. But I was totally blown with Nikki's skill. She started reading the novel during the break and finished it really early, like Monday, which I'm not sure of. I would be more motivated to finish this early if Elijah just brought his The Fault In Our Stars book. HAHA. By the way, I am planning to reread the novel, so I'll renew the book again.

Walang Sugat by Severino Reyes
This is a actually a script for the play. I don't really know what to say, but I got the story. I don't see why Nikki hates Julia. Well, let's see in the discussion on Tuesday.

Piano Lessons
It's my first time to take this piano lessons fully [since I, alongside Athena and Sophia, took piano and voice - what a hard life it was]. But, to be honest, I wasn't expecting my name to be in line with Nikki's, who won as one of the 7 Best Pianists during the Music Recital. Can I boast it? My Quarter Exam grade was 99! Meaning, I also sang well[?]. HAHA.
This quarter I'm playing Deck the Hall for our Christmas Specials [I am inventing names, but it's just the same]. It's a whole new different thing since black keys [flat] are involved. Yesterday, I practiced since Ms. Jaenna told us to actually be familiarized with the right hand part, even just a single staff will do. But because I want this [and I really picked the piece since I enjoyed it], I memorized 2/3 staffs already. I hope I can still remember this on Tuesday.

Homework in Science
I was personally not expecting any homework to be posted anymore since it was already Thursday, but Sir Richmond did. It's okay, nothing's wrong. That's one of the things why I moved on Thursday already.

//

That would be all for this entry. Just wanted to share what kept me busy this whole, lame though relaxing, break. Thanks! [I think this is my single longest entry since with the others, I separate them, so that the number of post would grow. HAHA]

Hugot!

Spell #WhoGoat

Hahaha! Laughtrip!

Influence (2)

This teacher never failed to influence and remind me to study hard and control my emotions. Truly an exmaple of a "smart and good" citizen. She used to tell us that this world needs persons with hearts 💚; our world has already lots of intelligent ones, and persons with hearts are lacking. One of her remarkable statements was, "Whatever you believe is right, stand by it." Hay, I miss and wanna see her not only around the school but around our 4-sided classroom too. :)

Iba Ka

We are the epitome of awesome. :)) HAHAHA. I finally found the real spot of this guy. Thank you for letting me know you in the deepest and funniest sense. :)

Perfect Timing

I believe that everything will happen and be revealed in God's perfect timing and in a perfect place. Something might not arrive yet because, first, you have to prove something; second, it's not timely; or third, you can't justify your love for him.

Thank you for reminding me this, sir. I will surely miss you and your kakulitan. :)) :'(

Influence

I am inspired by Ms. Anna in many ways, you know.

1. To do better in Math
2. She once told me that, "We shouldn't go to a battle unprepared," when I was complaining about those MTAP practices back in Grade 5. Hay, time flies really fast.
3. #foodphotography No wonder. Haha
4. And now, CALLIGRAPHY!!! Will be posting some exclusive on this blog starting later :)

Weird

Blog readers from the West? No, not blog readers, they might have just visited, or had visited. HAHA. Still, weird.

United Nations Day Celebration - 102314 - Part 3

Food Festival 2014

At first, I didn't like the idea of Zeke to have this as JrSCB's project in line with UN. But eventually, I enjoyed it because it was evident that each class really prepared and worked hard (even parents) to have something to serve to their visitors.

Sayang, I wasn't able to taste all the food each continent prepared, but I was able to visit each naman. :)

Here are the food I liked the most from yesterday's event (in no particular order):

1. Bibimbap - Asia - Grade 7: My forever Korean food fave 💛
2. Sushi - Asia - Grade 7: Because of Miss Luz's influence, there, I tasted. Hihi
3. Brigadeiro - South America - Grade 6: To be honest, it didn't look appetizing (as what EJ said), but this is the real deal FTW. So sarap! (And this is the only food I've tasted from 6. Too shy to go near the serving area since parents were there. Haha)
4. Seafood Salad - Antarctica - Grade 8: Of course, before looking at others' food, I tasted this first. Sobrang healthy and sarap! The dressing (courtesy of Kenny) was FTW.
5. Fish Fillet - Oceania - Grade 5: I'm not sure if it's fish fillet (that's what I remember from what Sally told me), but anything fried and looks crunchy really catches my eye.
6. Coffee - Antarctica - Grade 8: Sounds simple (Yes!) but definitely yummy! Iba ka, Barista Jane. Had two cups, which is not normal for me. What for for Myra's? 6?! Woah.
7. Orange with Sprinkled Cinnamon - Africa - Grade 4: I thought it was pepper, but I knew it wasn't since it didn't smell like one.

United Nations Day Celebration 2014 - 102314 - Part 2

MITIS Model of United Nations General Assembly

To be honest, when we were practicing for this General Assembly, I didn't feel anything but excitement and enthusiam. But when the actual day came, as the time ticked, nervousness enveloped me. I tried to listen to the presentation of the agencies that came first before ours, but I didn't understand anything. As what I told Joel, it was hard for something to enter your mind when you're already pressured and nervous. I think a part of that nervousness was to maintain how we present it---should exactly be the same as how we present it to the class, but I knew it wouldn't be---larger number of audience and teachers eyeing on you, how could you?! While waiting for our turn, I just kept on talking to people near me, specifically EJ, Alvin (who was texting his researchers), and Joel. Because of boredom, I heard Joel singing Kendra's ad (first time to ever do so). Haha!

When Sir Nate called our agency, we didn't hear it (even if we were already near the podium; we thought he was saying something else), so he repeated. The crowd went wild, well not literally wild, just screams and cheers that added pressure. If there was just this audience impact in the grading component, I thought. While presenting, I can feel my knees trembling, my cold sweat trickling, and my hands shaking. I didn't sttuter that much, I think. I was also distracted with their side comments. Hahaha! But after all, we did it, and we survived from presenting and the judges' and students' questions (thanks to Myra). After presenting, everybody was clapping, so I felt happy that they are at least satisfied on what we gave them. While walking to our seats, Dr. Santos called us and shook our hands and said, "You did a great job." (not the exact words).

Meanwhile, we were shocked to know that RC did win in the UN Impromptu Speech. Although we were not expecting it, we're still proud of him! With the result of the Creative Writing Contest for our category, Nico Clemente did it. I personally didn't expect that to happen. To be honest, I wasn't expecting myself to win. I know my essay there was so unorganized and didn't have a claim, as far as I can recall. Myra and I were expecting EJ or Audrey to win. Hay, expectations.

After, Sir Richmond announced the winners of the General Assembly. When he was announcing the winners of the Best Presenters, Sir Lyle alongside EJ and Alvin shouted and said, "Go Charles!" I was shocked. I know we wouldn't make it as the Best Presentors, but I appreciated the fact that they shouted and cheered for me whole-heartedly with sincerity and enthusiasm. When it's time to announce the winner for the Best Presentation, we were already nervous, and suddenly our agency was called! I immediately stood up of my seat and clap. Wow! What a wonderful Thursday, to be honest.

After, we had our Donut Party courtesy of the Social Studies Department and MITIS and Kenny's Fancy Donuts that he brought in the morning.

More victories to come, Grade 8!

(SADLY, I WASN'T ABLE TO TAKE PICTURES, AND I AM LAZY TO GRAB PICTURES FROM MY CLASSMATE's ACCOUNT TO PUT IT IN HERE. SO SORRY.)

An Adviser's Message

Thought of sharing this reply to my message~ This made my day aside from that legendary victory our class had yesterday.

What's more remarkable is that the quote she shared.

"KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE STARS AND YOUR FEET ON THE GROUND." 🌟🌟🌟

Thank you for guiding us all throughout this journey, Ms. Luz. I know that the year is just starting, but we're so happy to get to know you and be closer to you. We love you, miss!

Are customers always right?

I totally </3 the statement, "The customer is always right." In a business conflict, it would depend on the situation whether who is right and wrong. The owner can be faultless too, not just the customers, as mentioned by that famous quote.

We are all different. Our level of temper and patience are all different. Some can be heated-up really fast while others can stop themselves from erupting to anger. But I believe that in every situation, all the parties involved have faults. No one is faultless. Why do you think the customer is mad? It's because of your bad service. Why do you think the owner is mad? It is because the way the customer confronted him/her. Everything can be put into a good talk and reconciliations. But we have to understand that some things are worth fighting for.

Teka, I'm being so productive tonight. <3 But throughout the day, I've done nothing, just shopped for the event on Thursday~

Make a wish. Take a chance. Make a change. And BLOGAWAY

In all fairness, ang bagal ng Blogaway. Haha. Pero thanks for making my andro-life easier. Kung wala ka, walang blog updates sana. Hahaha!

With Roda (not Nikki) after her eye-check [A Long Time Ago]

What makes the food you eat special? Well, of course, it's with the taste, whether it's yummylicious or awful. (But who we are to complain? Let's just thank God for giving us these kinds of blessings which keep us alive and kicking.) Also, food is most treasured when you are with special people. Of course, they make each adventure, or should I say "foodventure," happier and livelier. They supply the entertainment and non-stop stories whenever you eat. Particularly, these foodventures that I have here were Myra's, Nikki's, and my adventure. :))

There's many more to this, but I don't have the copy of them na. :(( Just visit my IG, @mesupercharles. In there are our pictures :))

AXN The Voice (Pictures!!!)

When you scroll down to my blog, you'll see a post there about the barkada's #AXNTheVoice Escapade <3 And now, I'm sharing photos! :)

Do you wanna hear Nikki (aka Charice) sing "Treasure" by (Tito) Bruno Mars? Even if Nikki's been our friend, we haven't heard her sing until this experience. Haha! I salute your courage, Nikki No Sekai (nikkifloranne.blogspot.com).

O Ilaw (Le Version of Charles)

O ilaw sa gabing madilim
Si _____ naghahasik ng lagim
Mga ngipin niya'y sobrang talim
Boses niya'y sobrang malalim.

Ika'y aking haharanahin

Hala! Nakalunok ka ng langaw.

O ilaw sa gabing madilim
Iyong dugo'y ipasimsim
Gamit aking mga ngipin
Kung hindi, yaman mo'y aking sasamsamin.

~

I can't blame them. That's what always happen. When the air changed, I don't know if I/they will be happy. Truly a sad one, but understanding them is just the key. Nothing's wrong, they see. Nothing's wrong, and I shall convince myself. :D

Seenzoned!

Nang-si-seenzone. Hahaha!

The biggest update I made! Woah! Hahaha 😄😃😀😊☺️😉😍😘😚😗😙😜😝😛😁😌😂😅😇

What's on my playlist?

I may not be so updated with music, but I have my own playlist. You might now find these music cool, but for me, they are.

I am that person who likes upbeat song. I am not a fan of slow songs, but I still have them on my library (bandwagon effect, ika nga, dahil uso). I play them every time I travel, and I usually skip those sad song with a sad beat. Hahaha!

I'm not after the lyrics, btw. Haha! But of course, I still know what's appropriate and not.

I am not also that kind of person who particularly likes an artist. Anyone is okay for me as long as the music can make me dance. But I have this one great 💙 for Shakira (and Gwen Stefani and Maroon 5 because of you, Adam). One thing's surely noticeable: they are all Voice coaches.

So here's my music preference and suggestions (in no particular order):
A. The Sweet Escape - Gwen Stefani ft. Akon
B. Hollaback Girl - Gwen Stefani
C. Loca - Shakira
D. Beautiful Liar - Beyonce and Shakira
E. Anaconda - Nicki Minaj
F. Bang Bang - Jessie J, Nicki Minaj, Arianna Grande
G. Roly Poly - T-Ara
H. Animals - Maroon 5
I. Maps - Maroon 5
J. Boys 'Round Here - Blake Shelton
K. La La La - Shakira
L. Timber - Pitbull ft. Kesha
M. Medicine - Shakira ft. Blake Shelton
N. Misery - Maroon 5 (But Glee's version is also FTW!)
O. Love Somebody - Maroon 5

iOS 8

I'm not loving you, iOS 8. Hahaha!

Everything seemed to be too slow, tbh.

The #iceBUCKETLIST

I am inspired to have my own since the time I saw Roda's. Hahaha. So here's mine:

A. Travel.
The greatest wish I have. It'd be better if I travel here in the Philippines first before going international. I wanna visit:
I. Batanes - I wanna witness how honest people are in there.
II. Ilocos Norte and Sur - I think if you're an Ilocano you would really dream for this one.
III. Palawan - Being a part of the 7 wonders is just wow! And there must be something special here, huh.
IV. Cebu - Sayang. Hahaha!
V. Davao
VI. HK!
VIII. China
VIII. Japan
IX. Australia
X. S Africa
XI. Europe!
XII. USA, Canada, Brazil

B. Eat!
I wanna taste the flavors of the world!

C. Watch The Voice US Live!
And the experience would be special if Shak's still there.

D. iPhone!
I'm still mourning for the loss of my iPhone last July. Huhu! But be contented, Charles. Hahaha!

E. Purchase on iTunes
Haven't made any payments thru this~ HAHAHA

F. Go Somewhere Far with Friends para Gumala
Lagi nalang kasing ATC or Festival, friends. Hahaha

**
That's it for now. :)

Push!

This is my current wallpaper that inspires me every time I turn my phone on (sorry for the LQ #iPad2Problems)
This inspires me to do strive for what I want and been dreaming for, rise against all odds on the way, and be a better version of myself.
I hope this would inspire you too!

*The photo was #regram-med from @nadzlustre my loves! 💛

#InspiringFriday

Rafael is a student in Grade 4 (Korean). Yesterday, after the quarter exams, I saw him holding the broom and the dust pan and returning them to Kuya.

I called him and asked, "Why are you sweeping your floor?"

He didn't give me a definite answer, but I know that these kinds of situations are unexplainable.

I commend Miss Iya for putting a good influence to her kids. 💙

What's your inspiring story? Share it with me by commenting. Remember, the story's setting should be a Friday (I'm strict!) Hahaha~ #InspiringFriday

The Voice Escapade 💚

To unwind and forget about the stress of the quarter exam, we went to ATC.
Original Plan: eat then gala
But after eating, we saw this Voice Booth in ATC, and we tried it (making sure it's free). But before entering and getting all these, we have to like and share their Facebook account (plus their sponsors present in the event).
They gave us a lot of freebies!!! I love my pin which says, "Gwen Wants You!" <3

World Teachers' Day Celebration - October 3, 2014

Two Fridays ago, MITIS celebrated the #WorldTeachersDay to honor the most excellent, patient, and loving profession (even if it is not the most profitable), teaching!!!

I, alongside Myra, became the student-teachers for Sir Melvin. Sayang talaga because we weren't able to handle Grade 8.

In the morning.
Time In. Wow! Hahaha

We didn't have classes, so we did all the preparations. Hahaha! Myra was in-charge of the game and the so-called "checkables" while I was doing their quizzes. It was hard to think of questions pala ha! But I still believe it's harder to review.

4th Period. Grade 7.
They were quiet, but I think they're absorbing what we're saying. Haha! We asked them the topic which they didn't really understand. Jeff said India while Eline said China. So Eline had a 1-on-1 duscussion with Myra, and I had a 2-on-1 with Jeff and Anusha.

5th Period. Grade 4.
The most hyper class, I must say! They were copying my expressions! Hahaha! They were so participative of the game which made us really happy! And Gav got a perfect score in the quiz. How's that? Hahaha!

6th Period. Club Time for the Primary Level.
Nothing much happened. As the other SCB and student-teacher members played with the kids, I checked papers. Hahaha!

Actual Club Time for the Higher Graders. SCB.
Sr. SCB were wondering why we still had a meeting. Hahaha!

So I asked them all they're concerns, and we proposed solutions for each for 30 minutes. As a reward, I dismissed them early since I still have a lot to do.

Time Out. !-)

*
Miss Yo said that our faculty room was really a faculty room because the papers where everywhere, and it was really messy. Hahaha!

This events was really memorable! :)

Nikki No Sekai 2/2

And here is the continuation!!!

In answering this, you shouldn't take time thinking. The first name that enters your brain is the one!
Someone Who Makes You Smile on Your Worst Days - Classmates and Mama <3
Makes You Laugh a Lot - Lunch-mates esp. Myra, Roda, Mathew, Nikki, Joel
Someone with Gorgeous Eyes - Lunaaaaa!
Someone Who Changed Your Life - Sir Melvin and Classmates
First Crush - I don't remember. Hahaha! But definitely not the current crush.
The Funny Friend - Myra, Athena, Roda
You Can Talk About Anything With - Nikki!
The One Who Knows You Best - Mama (hello?! Hahaha) and Nikki, I guess~
The Prettiest Person You Know - Ah basta hahahaha

Nikki No Sekai

Since Athena invented a game called "Nikki No Sekai," or something like that, I'm doing mine too!

According to her blog entry ages ago (acropolisofathena.blogspot.com), you just have to say a name for each category. She provided "long" explanations. But for me, I'll be giving a really brief one.

Wait, this is a lot! Hahaha!

A New Friend - Sadly, no one. Haha! What a good way to start the list. Lol
Someone You Just Can't Live Without - Mama! <3
You Met When You Were Little - A lot but not in MIT, so there's no need to share.
The Best Smile - Sir Melvin. Every time he smiles, I laugh. Hahaha! Contagious in a different level~
You Always Have Fun - Classmates. :)
Your Best Friend - I honestly don't have one. Maybe, the way I interact with them is like a best friend, but we don't put labels on it. Are labels important?
Someone Who Likes Good Music - Mathew. He's always updated. Haha!
Someone You Used To Be Close To - Like really close? I have to say it's Joshiah. But we regained our friendship during the Team Building activity.
The Smartest Person You Know - Sir Melvin and Sir Richmond.
Someone You Miss - Friends in the province and Jayel :))
Someone Who Has Nice Hair - This has to be Nikki! Even if we make asar about her hair, it's just...ibang level! Hahaha!

*
Bitin effect muna. Will continue the list at my next entry

Cram. Bow.

Roughly 6 more entries and my blog mission is done!

Since we were all busy these past few weeks, it was hard for me to update my blog. So now that almost everything is done, I'm cramming. Awwww, the art of cramming. Hahaha!

Wait, I still have a Computer QE, Music QE, and Science and English projects! More to go :)

Math QE - The Ultimate Exam from the Ultimate Heartthrob, Papa P!

So after the Social Studies exam, we had Math! I admit this is one of my </3 subjects, and I hope emoticons could explain this. Justice! Hahaha~ Oh well. So yeah! 'Twas bit "easy" but confusing. Here are the parts of Papa P's exam:

A. Multiple Choice
Slopes gave me a hard time (since they weren't re-discussed), but couple of minutes before the time, I figured them out! Yeeha!
Before the exam, Sir P told us to write the right answer if it isn't among the choices. I wrote in 3 items, and all of them were wrong. Everything has an answer!! 0,0

B. Free Response
We solved problems of different people. Hahaha!

C. Bonus Item
Naku, Mang Tasyo. Why do you have to have a promo? Hahaha! My answer was 150+, but the right one was 7. Hahaha!

Social Studies QE - Our So-Called "Breakfast"

Last Thursday, 10/9, we had the first day of exams. And the opening subject is Social Studies, which was reffered to by Sir Melvin as our "breakfast." Our course for this year is World History which is very matindi. God! 'Twas hard. It's truly more on application, inference, and evaluation, as what he said the day before, briefing us for the upcoming exam. Here are the parts of his test:

A. Multiple Choice
He said that the multiple choice questions consist of easy, average, and difficult. But for me, there was another category: death-defying. Hahaha! He's not more on knowledge and asking terms; he's more on applying your knowledge in determining historical facts and views. Yes, some knowledge questions appeared, but you can count them---they're less than 5. Hahaha! Imagine that (out of 60 or 70 or sth, I forgot).
But to be honest, his Long Exam 2 was harder!

B. Alternative Response
Chronological order!!! Not an ordinary one because he mixed up everything which drew confusions! Hahaha! Out of 16, I got 13. I thought Jesus Christ was the last, but he came first before Diocletian and Constantine (who supported Christianity, which I forgot during the test). Never trust the sequence of discussion. Hahaha

C. Free Response
A Social Studies exam is incomplete without essays! Good thing, the number of essays for my set is 3 unlike the others who have 4 (but their Alternative Response questions are shorter). Good thing he isn't after the grammar but the thought and relevance.

*
And just y'day, I knew the result of my exam which I won't be sharing anymore. But definitely, I passed, and I'm happy with it!

1st QE~!

Grabe! Our 1st Quarter Exam was so haaaaaaaaard! But good thing, we all survived after: no one died, literally(?) and figuratively. But I think, what's scary will be the upcoming days since we'll know our "golden" scores. Hahaha! Good luck to us!
